Pauline Soo, a teacher librarian, developed an education kit for primary schools while she was on professional placement at the Library in 2016 as part of her Masters of Teacher Librarianship. The kit supports NSW Stage 3 History, Australia as a Nation.
Students will communicate findings of their historical inquiry about Jessie Street, the status and rights of Australian women and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the 20th century through a historical fiction narrative, incorporating relevant primary and secondary sources.
The kit is attached.
